Chris Horner, Author of 'Politically Incorrect Guide
To Global Warming,' keynotes Leadership Breakfast

Published Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Atlanta – Maligned by global warming zealots,Christopher C. Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), is no stranger to the hot air surrounding climate change: Greenpeace listed him in its “Field Guide to Climate Criminals.”

A respected attorney and author, Mr. Horner has represented CEI as well as scientists and Members of Congress on matters of environmental policy in the federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Few Americans are as qualified to address global warming policy as this author of two best-selling books: “The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming and Environmentalism” and, “Red Hot Lies: How Global Warming Alarmists Use Threats, Fraud and Deception to Keep You Misinformed.”

As campaigns heat up to bring “action” on climate change to Georgia, Mr. Horner will visit Atlanta to discuss the “Red Hot Lies” and mark the launch of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation’s Georgia Climate Change Education Project, aimed at ensuring that common sense and sound science prevail.

Join the Georgia Public Policy Foundation for “Red Hot Lies,” a Leadership Breakfast keynoted by Christopher Horner at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at the Georgian Club in Marietta. This Leadership Breakfast is the first in a series of events that will analyze the politics, policy, science and nonsense surrounding global warming and climate change.

Mr. Horner frequently provides legal, policy and political commentary on television and radio, in the United States and abroad, and is a regular contributor to the Washington Times, National Review Online and TechCentralStation.com opinion pages. He is a guest columnist for United Press International and OpinionEditorials.com, contributes to the Brussels legislative news magazine EU Reporter, to Energy Tribune and Spain's Actualidad Economica.

Mr. Horner has addressed the U.S. Senate Committees on Foreign Relations and Environment and Public Works, works with think tanks and policy organizations globally and speaks to audiences in the European Parliament and policymakers across Europe.

Mr. Horner has appeared hundreds of times on both television and radio, in the United States, Europe, Canada and Australia, including the Fox News Channel, Court TV, MSNBC, The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, BBC, CNN, CNN International, ITN, CBC, Bloomberg and Reuters Television. He has been a guest on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,guest-hosts television commentary programs and appears weekly on nationally and regionally syndicated radio shows in America.

The cost of this Leadership Breakfast is $25; Mr. Horner will autograph your copy of his books. Seating is limited. Reserve your seat by Friday, May 8, 2009, at
